From China to Nippon

The first couple of days of class have been a enlightening experience for me. Riley Sensei has reaffirmed much of what I have learned through my own research. The evolution of martial arts as strictly a killing art to a way of making yourself better and reaching harmony. The spread of Karate to Japan actually started in Okinawa, then it spread to mainland Japan. This is one of the things that I had only minimal knowledge of. I am already learning from this course.
