The basics of martial arts

Over the past few weeks now in The History of Martial Arts Project, I have learned a lot. Martial Arts is to be used to protect and defend yourself and not to use it as a weapon or as an offensive attack. There are many types of different martial arts from around the world. We are learning a great deal about Shorinjiryu. Sensei Riley has taught me a lot about obedience and respect.
