What I have learned from the past few days

I have learned that there is more to martial arts than just fighting. It is learning to connect with the energy around you, and to go with the flow. What is really fascinating is how human beings can accomplish almost anything if we put our minds to it. We are only limited by our minds. The other most important thing is repetition. The art of repeating something over and over until it becomes muscle memory is key. I found a quote once that said, "I don't fear the man with thousands of different kicks, but the man that practice the same kick 1000 times." Repetition is vital to success, and it is the only way to truly strive. Martial Arts on a whole is not all about being aggressive and showing off. It is more about being calm and only use what you have learned to defend yourself. There are more things about the human body that I did not know like internal and external strengths, and the importance of Qigong techniques.
