Our first trip

Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2

We had quite an interesting and action packed day. The first thing we did was meet in the classroom, then we took a 15 minute walk to the CityPlex 12 Movie Theatre up the street. After we got there, we had plenty of time to purchase our tickets and get snacks.

The movie we watched was Guardian of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. It was full of action to the point that I could not read its direction and its purpose at first. I started getting a better understanding of it towards the end when one of the characters got to meet a man whom he thought was his father. Later on it was revealed that he just wanted two species to destroy the planet and he uses the powers that he had been taught to defend himself. He was brokenhearted when the man who wanted to destroy him said that he had also killed his mum. This drove him to realize immense power that he was able to generate that matched his father and he was able to cause some damage.

This film is similar in a way that sensei explains the main purpose of our class. The main actors were using the power at their disposal to defend themselves. Also like in martial arts, namely Jiu Jitsu, you can see situations were constantly changing. Sometimes a certain group of people had the upper hand and after some time it´s another group. So, when we see this in the movie, one could never be sure what was going to happen next. It kept us in great suspense about the movie until the very end.
