We made our second field trip in two days to visit and train at the Imperial Dragon Hombu Dojo of Shorinjiryu Kenryukan Karatedo in Brooklyn, New York. There we met Sensei Riley's chief instructor, Hanshi Myron Lubitsch (9th Dan). We also got to train with Nidan Decland Paul-Roper and Shodan Neil Stewart. They were all impressive and really took us through our paces as we continued to learn what Shorinjiryu is all about.
Following training and six pizzas and several liters of soda later, we got on the subway and made our way back school. Perhaps some will tell of the many adventures and misadventures we had along the way. Maybe they should be left untold!
